Hamster is a playable critter in Box Critters, which was released on February 8, 2019.

Default Appearance

“	Hamsters are cool, and I think they should be the pirate hamsters. Sailing the seas with their furry little faces, dehydrated food pellets and seeking adventure.	”

Hamsters are in default light orange, with an even lighter underbelly. They feature black eyes and a pink nose with a single strand of hair spouting from their heads.

Trivia

• It was the first critter added to Box Critters.
• It is the only critter to have changed its appearance since an initial release.
• The new appearance was first revealed on January 21, 2019, which was before the initial design was released into the game.
• The first pre-beta experiment was named after the hamster, due to it being the only playable character.
• The tavern is inspired by the hamster's pirate attribute.
• The hamster is the only critter to have been shown with several expressions, including a smile, a smirk, a sad face and an open mouth.
• The first Hamster-design was made in the summer of 2017.
